The Sidmouth Surf Life Saving Club is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 2013 and affiliated with Surf Life Saving GB, a national charity of 7,000 volunteers dedicated to making our beaches safer and more enjoyable for everyone. We are committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all members, promoting both physical activity and personal development.

02 Youth Development

The club provides children and young people aged 7–16 with opportunities to improve their health, fitness, and well-being through fun and structured physical activity. Members develop confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills, while also building resilience and a strong sense of self. By participating in Nipper and Junior programs, young people gain practical life skills and cultivate a sense of responsibility and independence in a supportive community.

03 Ocean Awareness & Community Values

Beyond fitness and personal growth, the club encourages young members to develop an understanding of the ocean and coastal environment, nurturing respect and care for nature.
