About Us

Growing Confidence, Saving Lives

The Sidmouth Surf Life Saving Club is a not for profit organisation founded in 2013 and affiliated with Surf Life Saving GB, a national charity of 7,000 volunteers helping to make our beaches safer and more enjoyable places for everyone.

Lifesaving Skills & Safety

The club teaches vital water safety, rescue, and first aid skills, empowering members to protect themselves and others at sea.

Inclusive Team Community

Open to all ages and abilities, the club fosters a supportive environment built on teamwork, confidence, and growth.

Youth Learning & Growth

Through the Nipper and Junior programs, young members gain valuable knowledge, fitness, and leadership skills in a fun, structured setting.

Connection
with the Ocean

Members develop a strong bond with the ocean, learning to read the sea, respect the elements, and thrive in open water conditions.

Membership Renewal

Membership renewal is a three-step process and requires you to complete a new form. For those who have already paid their SLSGB membership online, please only pay the club fee.

Coaching at the club is a genuinely meaningful experience. Each season, we see members grow not only in physical ability, but also in confidence and awareness of the ocean. It’s rewarding to help young people develop life skills while learning to respect teamwork and safety in a positive environment.

Richard
Coach

The club offers a balanced approach to training and enjoyment.

Sessions are structured yet engaging, allowing members to progress at their own pace. As coaches, it’s inspiring to watch individuals challenge themselves, support their teammates, and gain pride in their achievements.

Ross
Coach

Coaching at the club goes beyond teaching lifesaving skills. We help young people build resilience, responsibility, and leadership in a fun and safe setting.

It’s inspiring to see how the lessons learned here carry through into everyday life, shaping confident and caring individuals.
